About Compass South

From the gathering on Sunday to the mundane details of life Monday through Saturday, our desire is to be people who love and follow Jesus. In fact, the Bible says that all that really matters in life comes down to two things: loving God and loving people. If you're new to Compass South, we would love to get to know you better.

Jonathan and Mandi Johnson

Pastor Jonathan serves as the  church planter and teaching pastor of Compass View. 2023 is our second year as a church and we are thrilled to already be planting a new church in Mt View Arkansas.

Kid and Family Focused

Compass South is a church family that loves families. We believe every Sunday matters in the formation and lives of our children. We aim through pray and preparation to see kids know and love the Lord.

Join us on Sunday for Compass Kids

Our Kids Ministry is on Sunday morning during the 10 AM service. Compass Kids serves nursery through 6th grade. Kids love it.

Compass South Students

This Spring we are excited to share with our teens and families that JHigh and SrHigh Groups will both be on Wednesday nights at 6PM. The Compass South Ministry Team has some great plans for this semester at “Mid-Week”. These nights will include new teen-relevant Bible study and a monthly all together night.

Compass Small Groups

1 Thessalonians 2:8 says, We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.

That is what we want our church to feel like. We want to share our lives with one another as we share Jesus and we want to become dear to one another. Small groups are a great way to "find your people".

Love the Brotherhood

Paul said to Timothy, "my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2

This Fall: We will plan some great times together as men to fellowship and enjoy one another. We study scripture together and pray on Thursday mornings.

Men's Prayer Ministry

Currently, we have a men's prayer group on Thursday mornings at 5:15 AM at the Whistle Stop Cafe and at Lunch at Coltons Steak house at 12:05 PM. We pray through scripture and it usually takes about 45-50 minutes. Some stay for breakfast afterwards at the early meeting.

Serving Others

We are convinced that the happiest people are those who are serving others. Join a ministry team and get to know the joy of relationships centered around serving Jesus and the mission of the gospel.

We offer "Finding your Place and Purpose" classes regularly.

Love the Sisterhood

"Women are to to live in a way that honors God, teach what is good, and so train the young women..." Titus 2

Join the launching of Compass South's Sisterhood Ministry at our IF:Table gathering! This is a free 2 hour event for Compass South ladies 18 and older to help connect with each other and draw our hearts near God and minds near His word. IF:Table gatherings are a great way to cut through the small talk, fight the awkward and find authenticity.

Women's Prayer Ministry

Currently, we have a Women's Prayer group on Thursdays at Lunch at the Library.

Church Family

We love to look back and consider all that God has done. These are precious memories and this season in life is one we do not take for granted. From our first days until now we praise God for His favor and blessing and thank God for each person that is a part of this church family.

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:16
